You're joking right? Not only did we supply the Taliban directly with weapons against the Soviets...the CIA FUCKING TRAINED THEM! Do some research next time and maybe you might learn about Operation Cyclone, the CIA training of ISI agents, the Afghan rebels who ISI trained and who later joined the Taliban. Perhaps you might even learn about the resistance leader we funded, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, and his support of Osama Bin Laden, the founder of Al-Qaeda, an ally of the Taliban. Maybe you could do ten minutes of research before trying to correct somebody next time.
